These terms govern your use of the Internal Harmony Counselling website and the services we provide. By using this website, you agree to them.

1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to your access to and use of the Internal Harmony Counselling website (the “site”) and to any counselling services we provide. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

2. Not a crisis or emergency service

Internal Harmony Counselling is not a crisis or emergency service and cannot provide immediate assistance in an emergency. If you or someone you care about is in danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please call 000 or contact a crisis support line. See our Need Immediate Help page for details.

3. Nature of services

Counselling services are provided by a degree-qualified counsellor. Counselling can support wellbeing and personal growth but does not guarantee any particular outcome. Information on this website is general in nature and is not a substitute for professional advice, diagnosis or treatment tailored to your individual situation.

4. Bookings, fees & cancellations

  • Session fees are as set out on our Services page and are payable as agreed.
  • Appointments are scheduled by mutual arrangement and confirmed prior to each session.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the booking date and time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment, or missed appointments, will incur the full session fee.

5. Confidentiality

Your privacy and confidentiality are important to us and are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. There are limited circumstances where confidentiality may be lawfully overridden, such as where there is a serious risk to safety or where disclosure is required by law.

6. Your responsibilities

When using this site and our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information.
  • Use the site lawfully and not in a way that could harm or disrupt it.
  • Engage respectfully in the counselling relationship.

7. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos and images, is owned by or licensed to Internal Harmony Counselling and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or distribute it without our permission.

8. Third-party links

This website may include links to third-party websites for your convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, products or practices of those sites.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Internal Harmony Counselling is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this website or reliance on its general content. Nothing in these terms excludes any rights or guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
